E Major

This E6 shape adds our 4th finger on the 2nd fret of the 2nd string.  This adds a 6th to our E Major shape to make an E6.

This E7 shape adds our 4th finger on the 3rd fret of the 2nd string.  This adds a b7th (dominant seventh) to our E Major shape to make an E7.

Eadd9

This Eadd9 shape adds our 4th finger on the 2nd fret of the 1st string.  This adds a 9th to our E Major shape to make an Eadd9.

Esus

This Esus shape, also known as Esus4, adds our 4th finger on the 2nd fret of the 3rd string

This Eadd9 shape adds our 4th finger on the 4th fret of the 4th string.  This shape may be more difficult to play, but the close interval of the F# (9th) and G# (3rd) make for a very beautiful sound.
