Reading music starts with knowing what notes go where on the staff. Guitar players primarily use the Treble Clef. Let's take look at the lines and spaces on the Treble Clef. Start by memorizing the notes on the diagram below.

Lines can be memorized easily by remembering "Every Good Boy Does Fine" and the spaces can be memorized by spelling the word face "F A C E"
